Osama bin Laden killed in Pakistan

osama deadUS president Barack Obama said bin Laden, the most-wanted fugitive on the US list, has been killed on Sunday in a US operation in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad, about 150km north of Islamabad.

“Tonight, I can report to the people of the United States and the world, the United States had carried an operation that has killed Osama Bin Laden, a terrorist responsible for killing thousands of innocent people,” Obama said in a statement.

First 3D Cinema In PakistanA good news for 3D cinema screen lovers resonates around city Lahore as the Cinestar in Township has acquired its first ever 3D cinema.

Lahore city’s first 3D cinema is just inaugurated yesterday. A red carpet event was held by owners Ali Chaudhry and Faraz Chaudhry to showcase Hollywood film, Avatar. Lahore gets rare hailstorm Snowfall in Lahore

snow falling in lahoreThe storm struck the city at 4.45pm, concentrating its intensity downtown and in areas around Gulberg. Hailstones the size of small strawberries soon carpeted streets and rooftops.

People watched the freak turn of weather with a pleasant surprise. At some places some people panicked and started giving “azans”.

The Festival of Love was one of the festivals of the pagan Romans, when paganism was the prevalent religion of the Romans more than seventeen centuries ago. In the pagan Roman concept, it was an expression of “spiritual love”.
